Dermal Fillers

Our bodies contain hyaluronic acid, or “HA,” which is naturally broken down over time. Our structural components deteriorate as we age, resulting in premature aging, sagging, and loss of suppleness.

Dermal fillers are a cosmetic treatment used to restore the skin’s HA levels and reverse the signs of aging. Dermal fillers enhance and restore volume to the face, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, and add contour to various facial features. They are non-surgical and minimally invasive procedures that create a youthful contour and appear undetectable.  

Dermal fillers are commonly used to add volume to the lips, cheeks, and under the eyes. They can also fill in nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines (lines that run from the corners of the mouth to the chin), and other facial wrinkles.

As with any procedure, clients should expect temporary side effects including swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising, and lumpiness in the affected area after their dermal filler treatments, but they usually subside within a few days.

Dermal fillers can provide immediate results, and the longevity of results varies depending on factors such as the type of filler used, the treatment area, individual metabolism, and lifestyle factors. To maintain optimal results with dermal fillers, clients are recommended to schedule touch-up treatments on a yearly or semi-yearly basis. They can also be added to other aesthetic services to provide the benefits of a facelift without going under the knife, the risk of scarring, and the associated downtime that follows.
